I’m a Catholic IFS Therapist … for your mind, spirit, psyche and soul.
I am a Certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist with the highest level of credentialing and 20+ years experience using IFS as my primary methodology. IFS is an evidence-based model that has taken the mental health counseling community by storm. It is utilized by hundreds of thousands of mental health therapists throughout the world. It has a demonstrated success rate of 90% in some efficacy studies.
I have years of training in Christian Counseling. And, I combine the beauty of IFS with the truth of Scripture and Catholic teaching. True healing comes from God and I help to facilitate that process by using a faith-based approach. I use daily mass to fortify my spirit and rejuvenate my soul.
Where I Focus
I provide a safe-haven for adult Catholics who may be leery about seeing a secular therapist — understandable. My worldview is shaped by the catechism of the Catholic church. I attend daily mass, go to confession regularly and spend time in adoration. My Catholic faith is paramount in my personal and professional life.
With an MBA and many years in the dog-eat-dog world of Corporate America, I have a specialized niche in performance issues that can cripple adults in their work and life, including; fear of failure — being seen as a fraud — perfectionism — procrastination — not good enough — fear of conflict.
Finally, I also work with adults in areas that impact daily living: anxiety — depression — stress.
How I Work
Appointments are 50 minutes. I am flexible to be able to offer longer sessions (75 minutes) to accommodate busy lifestyles or hectic travel schedules. Some people find increased benefit in longer, concentrated sessions.
I am an out-of-network provider for the major insurance companies. Many of my clients use their insurance. Here’s how it works — you pay me my full fee at the time of the appointment. I will give you a receipt and you turn that into your insurance company. Your insurance company will send reimbursement directly to you. If you want more specifics related to reimbursement, call your insurance company.
I do not take Medicare or Medicaid and I don’t participate in requests for prior authorization.
Where I Work
I am based in Ave Maria, Florida and licensed to work with clients in both FL and NY. All sessions are via Telehealth, using HIPPA-compliant video-audio technology.
God has blessed me with a full bounty of clients that has resulted in a very full practice. I occasionally take new clients and other times I need to say, “My practice is too full.” If I cannot take you on as a new client, I’ll do my best to provide you referrals to another therapist.
